3 sweet holiday marketing tips that boost sales

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! (Did you sing that? We did too!) Social selling season is upon us and as business owners, it’s our time to shine and get those holiday sales. So what should you do to stand out on social so people buy from YOU and not from Betty who’s a few posts down in their news feed? Here are three sweet holiday marketing tips that will definitely get you noticed:

MULTI-PHOTO POSTS and CUSTOM ALBUMS: Give them great gift ideas by showing a combination of gifts that make it EASY for them to shop! Looking at a ton of products on a website can be overwhelming, so narrowing it down and highlighting a few of your best sellers in a way that makes it simple for them to scroll through on Facebook and Instagram really helps take the guesswork out of making that purchase!

Julie Anne Satterwhite, a Thirty-One consultant, says, “All year, but especially during the holidays, I showcase easy, complete gift sets. My goal is to help customers do all of their shopping from their phones or laptops. In my Facebook customer group, I build gift sets for everyone on their shopping list, and include quick direct links to order online as well as my contact info, if they prefer to have me place the order. Then when my company’s holiday cut off passes, I turn my focus to the customer themselves, such as sharing how to tackle their New Year’s resolutions using our products.”

Lisa Neal, a distributor with Young Living, says, “During the busy holiday shopping season, customers appreciate gift idea bundles that makes gift buying easy for them. Think like your customer and come up for bundles of your products for each gift recipient on their list — dog walkers, hairstylist, teachers, party hosts, your BFF with a new baby, and more! Your authentic voice is what they trust so plan to include videos you you explaining why you love a product is helpful!”

VIDEO: Everyone enjoys watching videos and you can create fun Facebook Lives or Instagram Stories that will show you using your products so people can envision their gift receivers using them too!

Sara Meier, a Pampered Chef consultant, says, “I love doing live videos on Facebook. It’s kinda like having my own cooking show! I go online and show people how I’m actually using the product in my home. I bring up features and key points of the products I’m using but without doing it in a salesy way. Quite often, I’ve had people contact me after the videos and purchase a tool I was using or book a party. I like doing live videos because I can showcase the products that I’m most passionate about and quite often, I might use a tool that a customer didn’t know we had or they might not have known what it was for and then they’ll see it in action and really want to try it out for themselves!”

CAMPAIGNS: Hosting a virtual Holiday Open House party, or a 12 Days of Christmas countdown really gets people in the holiday spirit to give to others! Remember to have fun and be consistent and people participating will be sure to place an order with you.

Kristyn Sabella Bray, a Ruby Ribbon stylist, says, “The 12 days of Christmas works great for my holiday marketing campaign! I use the Design with Canva button in CinchShare to create the graphics that I post and offer a different special for twelve days starting with December 1st. It’s a personal promotion, not company sponsored. I may do things like a certain percentage off, spend this amount then get this free, bonus dollars for gift certificate purchases, etc. I will also highlight products that are great for gift giving with these specials.”

To sum it up, Jody Sterr (JJ Star), a consultant with L’BRI Pure n’ Natural, says, “Simply share your love of your products sincerely and with all you meet this holiday season.” We couldn’t agree more! When it comes to holiday marketing, sharing is caring and in the spirit of giving, remember to be sincere and show your passion for your products on social by engaging with your audience and being of service to them. They will love that you are taking the time to help them shop for their family and friends and will be sure to buy from you this holiday season and well into the new year!
